Website campbelrochford Campbell Rochford

The Background
Our client has been experiencing compounded growth of between 7.5-8.5% year on year and have developed a book worth €50M of pure commercial business. In order to grow further to hit their objective of €85-100M, they need to bring on board a number of €100k+ accounts and to achieve this they need to hire two really good Senior Account Executives with a market following.

The Role
In your first 12 months with this firm you’ll adopt their way of doing business (take pride in yourself as the front face to clients); you’ll have gained/retained a renewal book of €100k and grown new business by €75k in year one (and grown it by a further €100k in year two). You’ll recognize that this is a technical job and that your role is to provide a professional service to clients, so when you go out to the large manufacturing plant or commercial premises, you’ll be dealing with their insurance requirements and acting as the client’s Risk Advisor, moving the dial away considerably from being just the Account Handler. You’ll leave your clients certain in the knowledge that you have their backs covered and you’ll have overlaid your technical knowledge across different risk profiles, moving seamlessly from the manufacturing plant to the hotel as required. You’ll have handled the larger €50k+ risks and will be able to get these over the line. You’ll have enhanced what our client are already doing in the Dublin market and have hit the financial target for the year.

The Person
You are a seasoned Commercial Account Executive with a minimum of 5-10 years technical commercial lines experience. You are minimum CIP/ACII qualified and may perhaps have an undergraduate degree or can demonstrate how you’ve invested in yourself to better yourself academically. You are a go getter with the right aptitude and attitude and are well got in the insurance market with a strong reputation with insurers. You can make relationships with clients, underwriters and fellow brokers flourish and demonstrate a common sense approach to your interactions with the market. You ooze reassurance and confidence, you can sell yourself to your clients but also can sell why you would want to work for MIG.

The Team
You’ll join an existing team of five people, reporting into a Commercial Lines Manager, working alongside two additional Account Executives, one Head of Personal Lines and one Head of Financial Services. You’ll be part of an easygoing, collegiate office atmosphere where you’ll be supported at every step along the way.

The Opportunity
You’ll join a young, growing team with the opportunity to be rewarded significantly for what you do. You’ll be given freedom to be entrepreneurial and the freedom to go after any risks you choose provided there are markets to support it. You’ll join a very open minded organisation where you can build on your name and reputation in the market and a company where they listen to their employees and are very flexible in how they handle any issues that arise. You’ll join a company that carries a significant amount of weight and respect in the market, making it easier to write business and you’ll be based in Dublin but covering the Leinster area, capitalising on some of the significant risks on offer in this territory.

The Package
Base Salary in the €75-100k range with an annual bonus worth up to €15k (based on qualitative and quantitative factors) + 10-15% fee bonus + commercial incentive scheme (the company sets an overall target which if reached means you’ll share in a pool of 20% of the total with the other executives) + DC Pension (5% & 10%) + Health Insurance (up to €1500).
