Personal Lines Broker – Boutique Kildare Brokerage – This is not a Job, This is a Career!

The Background
A boutique Insurance Broker based in Co. Kildare offering Life, Pensions, Health and General Insurance products are seeking to hire a Personal Lines Broker to support their team. Their book is 50% General (60% Commercial, 40% Personal); 40% Financial Services (Life & Pensions) and 10% Health. Owing to the departure of one of their tenured Personal Lines Brokers, they are seeking to hire a replacement for their Naas office.

The Role
In your first 12 months you will:

• Take ownership of an existing client book and hit the ground running with the renewal of the Motor and Household policies whilst developing new business from the queries that come in.
• Handle an average of 120 renewals (Motor & Home) per month, with 50-60 calls per day dealing with mid term adjustments and other queries, including a number of Commercial Lines clients who also hold Motor/Home policies with our client.
• Retain 94% of your book and cross sell these clients on Commercial, Life & Health Insurance products by checking on their needs and filling out a referral sheet.
• Convert queries into sales (up to 50 new business sales per month) and ensured that all Motor & Home policies are administered on time and efficiently with customers serviced correctly.

The Person
You are CIP qualified with a minimum of three years Personal Lines experience in a similar role, experience of working on a busy Personal Lines desk and worked with Applied Relay. You are an excellent communicator, a good listener that’s able to deal with customers and possessing a good work ethic.

The Team
You’ll join an existing team of three in Naas and report into the Personal Lines team Manager who originally joined the business in 2009 and has grown both their Personal Lines and Health Insurance offerings to the point where she progressed to Director two years ago. The team Manager is very approachable, fair and leads by example. She is very happy to provide help with questions and queries and her team know that she has their back at all times.

The Package
Base Salary with a new business bonus applicable post six months probation + Health Insurance + DC Pension + DIS/PHI + Annual Leave will also form part of the package.
