A behemoth broker producing €500M GWP in Ireland that has built an operating model that allows them to scale the business through acquisition and organic growth and have a nationwide presence. They are always in the market for talented Account Directors who can help them to continue their organic growth and provide additional capacity to manage it. Their ambitions around building new business remains strong and as a result they are seeking to hire some new Account Directors. They are currently seeking to develop a bigger footprint in the North Dublin area and they require someone in that location to build up their presence and to potentially set up a satellite office as part of a long term organic growth strategy.
- Within your first 12 months, you’ll have brought in €120-150k in new business income (with anything above this being a bonus) and will have focused on writing new business in the North Dublin region.
- You’ll have bought into the company culture and will come in at a level where you’ll want to stay with them long term and match their ambitions to grow further.
- You’ll have bought into their culture of being part of the unit where you’ll collectively contribute to the overall goals by hitting your €10k income target per month and will have hit the ground running and made some waves quickly.
You have Commercial Broking experience with a strong network of contacts and are a good networker generally. You also have a good relationship with the insurers and have pedigree and reputation in the market for producing good insurable risks. You are energetic, bright and ambitious and have the hunger to drive on new business and to develop yourself to a more senior position. You ideally have built up a substantial book and have the ability to potentially move some business over to our client. You have to have the right attitude and mindset to match your talent and will quickly buy into the firm’s mindset of family, belief, teamwork, hard work, tenacity, honesty and trust.
You’ll be a part of the National Sales team of 12 but ultimately be one of 50 new business people nationally with your brief being to build a presence in North Dublin.

The Reporting Line
You’ll report into the Head of the Commercial Lines Sales and ultimately into the Chief Commercial Officer.
Base Salary is negotiable with a 15% commission on all new business brought in and a 10% company bonus (subject to the company hitting its targets). As an Account Director, you’ll also receive a mobile phone, expenses, PHI and DC Pension.
