The Company

A boutique North Co. Dublin Insurance broker that’s growing rapidly has an opening for a Commercial Account Handler who would like to work in a positive, proactive and developmental environment.

The Opening

You will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring that all commercial renewals are administered in a timely manner.
  • Retaining up to 95% of existing renewals and growing new business based on team performance by about 15-20%.
  • Collecting renewal premiums and proactively securing new business.
  • Providing suggestions on growing the commercial book and proactively cross selling to renewal customers.

The Person

You are a CIP qualified, technically competent Commercial Account Handler, knowing how to handle Professional Indemnity and associated risks and are familiar with the commercial insurance market, knowing who the appropriate underwriters are. You are an expert at managing commercial renewals and possessing a sound sales instinct, you have a successful track record at writing new business. You have demonstrable knowledge of the new business market in Ireland and can also demonstrate how to grow a commercial book. You are outgoing, possessing good interpersonal skills, are willing to be part of a team and may even aspire to a management level position in the near future.

The Opportunity

Reporting into the Head of Commercial, you will have the chance to shadow a highly successful broker who was awarded Manager of the year three years successively and who has seen eleven of his staff promoted to Manager level in previous roles. You will be groomed and trained by this individual to ultimately succeed him as Manager within the next 24 months.

The Package

A  highly attractive and competitive base salary which is reviewed annually will be offered along with an attractive commission structure and benefits package to the successful candidate.
