The Background
Owing to a significant change in the structure and makeup of an existing Commercial Brokers in the midlands, an opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Account Handler to inherit a pre-existing client book with a view to stepping up to take charge of your own portfolio over the coming years. With a Senior Director seeking to take a step backwards from the day to day handling of a huge portfolio of Commercial clients on his books, he is seeking to hire a Commercial Account Handler to support him with the portfolio.

The Role
As the Regional Director is planning on offloading his book of clients, he wants to hire an Account Executive who will take care of these customers. Most of these are legacy clients built up from years around the Kildare, Offaly and Laois region and the first objective would be to renew 95% of book which is worth approximately €15-20k per month. The second objective would be to write approximately €2-3k per month in new business but this is quite straightforward as our client will provide you with leads and schemes from which you will derive that income. The third thing is a focus on general customer service in the midlands and trading compliantly.

The Person
Our client seeks an energetic candidate who will be involved from the very start with the book and will ultimately take ownership of a similar portfolio. You are prepared to roll up your sleeves, possess an attitude that you are willing to learn and ideally want to fast track your learning and development in an environment where you will be encouraged, supported and mentored.

The Team
You’ll join a small but growing team in an ever expanding office in Kildare but will work on a hybrid basis. You’ll report into the Regional Manager who in turn reports to the Regional Director and their management style is fair, transparent and collegiate.

The Package
Base salary with all of your exams supported, Company Bonus worth 10% (usually paid in January), 15% new business bonus (you will be helped to land this), DC Pension, periodic reviews weekly.
